What You Need On Your Portfolio
I will expect to see the items below on your site. There will be periodic portfolio checks to make sure you are keeping up with this. Work on this anytime you find yourself a bit ahead or want to do something else for a day.
Website:
An About Me page. Should be 100 words or so. Here’s what I have on my blog
http://deb-day.blogspot.com/p/little-bit-about-chloe-and-i.html
Contact Me If you have this page, you should have information about how people can get in touch with you. Twitter handle, email, instagram handle, Facebook page and Pinterest are all links you could share. Only share what you are comfortable with. If you prefer not sharing this information then take the link off your page.
A page for your Writing Autobiography. It should be edited and revised. Copied and pasted to a page
There should be a “landing page” for you digital portfolio. Readers will click that link and be taken to a page with links for all your pieces.
A page for the Expressive/Reflective piece and the the poetry. They also should be edited and revised after you get it back. As we write new pieces, pages will also be added for them.
Each piece should have a reflective paragraph about it. Here are questions to help you write it:
Pictures that show us who you are (if there are places for pictures on website). A good place for your pictures are the headers on the tops of pages. Pictures inserted in your Expressive/Reflective piece add to the interest.
If you have a Button on a page, it must link to something. For example, the button often found on the home page could link to your writing prompts or it could link to your digital portfolio landing page.

- Why did you choose to write this piece?
- What did you learn (about writing, about yourself) when writing this piece?
- What skills did you work on when writing this piece?
- How did you brainstorm, revise, and edit?
- Who gave you feedback and help?
